Summary

Initial users of the database may include only minimal data and metadata. As their experience with educational research grows, they may decide that additional metadata would prove useful to their research and that of their colleagues. At this time, they would like to return to an assessment or a course full of assessments and add additional metadata.

Preconditions

    • The database will store all assessments uploaded to the database, regardless of the completeness of the associated metadata.
    • Faculty members have the ability to add (or delete) data and metadata associated with an assessment they uploaded (Database development team: please consider this carefully. There are many databases that do not allow this, for a variety of reasons. What is appropriate for this database?)
